General Power of Attorney in Zimbabwe
In terms of section 27 of the Deeds Registries Regulations, 2025 a General Power of Attorney for purposes of alienating or encumbering immovable property in Zimbabwe has to meet three conditions. Firstly, it has to clearly and sufficient describe the property concerned. Secondly, it has to fully describe the grantor of the Power of Attorney by his or her name and identity number. Thirdly, the General Power of Attorney has to be signed in ink or bear the mark of the grantor.
