A Power of Attorney is a document which is strictly construed and must be carefully drawn. An agent who is granted a Power of Attorney in Zimbabwe to enter into a conduct a transaction or a series of transactions on behalf of party for instance, is not authorised to institute litigation proceedings. see Mtemererwa & Another v Tawarwisa & Another 2004 (2) ZLR 172 (H).
