List of Copyright cases in Zimbabwe

Prior to the promulgation of the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act [Chapter 26:05] in Zimbabwe which came into effect on the 10th September 2004, Zimbabwe as a country had always recognised the importance of copyright.

The superior courts in Zimbabwe prior to the country’s independence on the 18th April 1980 had occasion to deal with the concept of copyright. Even after independence, the superior courts have continued to provide guidance on the issue copyright in Zimbabwe. Below is a list of copyright cases in Zimbabwe:
