Rights and privileges of labour arbitrators in Zimbabwe
A labour arbitrator is appointed in terms of section 98(6) of the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01] by the Minister of Public Service, Labour & Social Welfare and is issued with a Certificate of Appointment of an Arbitrator in Form L.A. 2.
The rights and privileges of labour arbitrators in Zimbabwe are provided for by section 4 of the Labour (Arbitrators) Regulations, 2012. In terms of the law as it currently applies in Zimbabwe, upon appointment, a labour arbitrator is authorised to deal with all labour matters which are brought to him or her for decision.
