
LABOUR LAW
Section 8(2) of the Labour (Arbitrators) Regulations, 2012 which was inserted by sub-section 4 of the Labour (Arbitrators) (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 (No. 1) provides the time limit for labour arbitration in Zimbabwe, whether the appointed arbitrators hearing the labour dispute are independent arbitrators or arbitrators appointed from government ministries or agencies and national employment councils. Thus, in any matter before it, a labour arbitrator should rendered an arbitral award within 45 days, unless the parties agree to an extension.
